Sinclair, Heather Lynette (D). Heather L. Sinclair is a native of Salisbury. She is the founder of Lynette’s Law for MD, a grassroots movement that seeks to pass legislation in every state to require criminal background checks for all mental health professionals, and criminalize sexual exploitation in therapy. www.heatherlynettesinclair.com

Hershey, Stephen S., Jr. (R). Stephen S. Hershey, Jr. has been a member of the Senate since October 2013. He currently serves as Minority Whip, member of the Finance Committee, the Rules Committee, the Joint Committee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Biotechnology, the Legislative Policy Committee, and the Joint Committee on Legislative Ethics. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Catholic University of America and an M.B.A. from George Washington University.


District 37

Wright, Holly (D). Holly Wright had a career of more than 20 years in public health at the state and regional levels in Massachusetts and New York, as well as directing a nursing home. She supports commercial fishing, storm water management, and the efforts of farmers to restore and protect the Bay and its watershed. She would work to provide adequate funding for K-12 education and to provide work force development and affordable housing for good jobs. Echkardt, Adelaide “Addie”(R). Adelaide Echkardt has served in the Maryland Senate since 2014, and served in the House of Delegates for 20 years. She retired as a full-time Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse. Her legislative priorities are fiscal responsibility, strengthening the educational system, medical malpractice reform, oyster restoration, clean water and clean air, bringing educational and economic opportunities to the Eastern Shore, and concealed carry permits. www.addieeckardt.com

Mathias, Jim (D). Jim Matthias has served in the Maryland Senate since January 2011. He serves on several committees, including the Finance Committee, the Joint Committee on the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays Critical Area, and the Joint Committee on Ending Homelessness. He was a member of the House of Delegates from 2006 to 2011. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He served as Mayor of Ocean City from 1996 to 2006. In the Senate, he supported an increase of $25 million for security improvements in the schools and voted for increased funding for the Maryland Tourism Development Board. www.jimmathias.com

Carozza, Mary Beth (R). Mary Beth Carozza is a native of Ocean City. She has a B.A. in Political Philosophy from the Catholic University of America and an M.A. in American Government. She also completed the Harvard Senior Managers Government Summer Program. Her top priorities are growing jobs, protecting farming and fishing, and promoting tourism.
